Well, son of a bitch.
Now, I am not usually one to complain, but I don’t think it is asking too much to get more than 200 yards away from the service station before your wheel falls off.
I took my truck to get its annual PA inspection at the local service center that also sells tires (it rhymes with higher-tone). They had to take the wheels off as part of the inspection. Picked it up this afternoon only to have my back wheel pass me while pulling out of the parking lot.
I picked up the six lug nuts on the walk back to the service station and then had an interesting discussion with the manager.
He made good on his promise to cover the damages. Needless to say, I will be looking for another service center to do the maintenance items that I cannot do myself.
