Trail ride at Famous Reading Outdoors

I wanted to get out on some trails at a place I've never been before. I checked Off-Road Consulting's guided trail ride schedule and saw that a trip to Reading Great Outdoors was on the docket for January 26. I signed up and headed to Pottsville, PA -- in the heart of eastern PA coal country.

Frame rail rust

It is wintertime southeast Pennsylvania, so that means lots of road salt. Third generation 4Runners on the east coast are notorious for frame rot and I spent a lot of time this fall repairing the damage that was done over the past 21 years and hoping this will help it survive many more PA winters.
